Shaping Community

by

Earlier this month I walked through the doors of a beautiful home where I was going to be officiating a wedding. When I entered the home the grandfather of the groom extended his hand to greet me.

My reaction took me off guard: my eyes filled with tears.

Four months ago I would have shaken his hand with a smile on my face and we would have gone about our day. This time, I had an emotional reaction, then came a moment of confusion. Should I should shake his hand even though he was extending an invitation to do so.

I looked up with my tear-filled eyes and shook his hand. Feeling the need to explain my awkward reaction I told him how nice it was to shake his hand and that I had not shaken anyone’s hand in months.

That was the moment I realized how much I miss connection. I miss striking up a conversation at the grocery store, shaking hands with a new friend, or smiling at a stranger. I wonder if you miss it too?

We were meant to be in community.

With that in mind, I have been spending my time working with our team to develop a community especially for you.

You are choosing to break through the barriers of your past to live a transformed, abundant life in Christ. We want to give you encouragement, friends that are genuinely cheering you on and challenging you to fulfill your potential.

As we develop teaching, a new website and community we would love to tailor it just for you.

WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU!
