Abiding Women in Scottsdale, AZ

July 31, 2026 August 2, 2026

With the ships fully engulfed in flames, there was no retreat. The battle command was powerful and terrifying. The goal was to compel soldiers to fight with unwavering commitment by ordering the soldiers to burn their ships. The only way to live another day was to win the fight. No returning to the comfort of the ship. No turning back in fear or defeat. The only option was onward into battle.

The need for a powerful, unwavering commitment is also required of us as the soldiers in God’s army. We need to “burn our ships” of complacency, distraction, sin and shame. Maybe it’s a ship containing debilitating memories of childhood trauma or the gut-wrenching heartbreak of divorce. Some of us cling desperately, hiding in the hulls of a ship that holds only grief and sadness because we don’t know how to set the blaze. We don’t know how to battle forward.

Join us for a weekend of exploring the scripture for His promises of healing and growth. Share time with us as we examine the many beautiful and inspiring examples of people who have faced heartache, betrayal, death and brokenness only to rise out of the ashes to newness in Christ. Together we will learn how to burn the ships and find our unwavering commitment to God’s upward call!

"Forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead." - Philippians 3:13b-14

RETREAT INFORMATION
