Near the end of our conversation on the podcast, Nelly Holst shared something so simple yet so important:
If we never care for ourselves, eventually we won’t have anything left to give others.
As women, many of us are so used to serving everyone else that we ignore our own exhaustion, health, stress, and needs until our bodies force us to pay attention.

We live in a world filled with stress, exhaustion, confusing health advice, and constant pressure surrounding our bodies.

But what if caring for ourselves wasn’t about striving, perfection, or appearance? What if it was actually about stewardship, healing, and honoring the God who created us?

In this episode, I sit down with Christian health advocate Nelly Holst to talk about faith, chronic illness, biblical health principles, nutrition, and the connection between body, soul, and spirit.

In a world full of pressure, conflicting health advice, and perfectionism, Nelly reminds us that God’s heart for us is not shame, guilt, or fear, but stewardship, wisdom, and abundant life.

One of my favorite parts of the conversation was hearing how she spent 17 years homeschooling her daughters while battling chronic illness, and how God sustained her through it all.
